A traveler visiting India for tourism is eligible to apply for an Indian Visa. Indian Visa Fees- Updated Information:

Indian visa fees vary as per the visa category you need to apply for. At the moment, the E-Visa tourist is available in different categories of validity, including 1-month, 1-year, and 5-years.
If you want to apply for a one-month validity tourist eVisa, you will have two entries while the rest of the visa categories allow travelers to enter India multiple times.

Another point to note is that Indian visa fees differ according to the travelers’ country of origin. On the other hand, travelers from India’s neighboring countries Bhutan and Nepal can arrive, stay, and seek employment in India without obtaining a visa. All other nationalities must apply for an Indian visa prior to traveling to the country.

Remember that no all nationalities will pay the same amount of visa fees, some nationalities can obtain an Indian visa for free. These include:
Argentina, Cook Islands, Fiji, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nauru, Niue Island, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uruguay, and Vanuatu.

Except for Japan, all other nationalities will pay visa fees according to the updated fee structure for tourist eVisa.

Indian Visa Fees for the Different Visa Categories:

Apart from the Indian visa fees, travelers will pay a bank charge of 2.5% of the total fee. The Visa fees are non-refundable and the visa processing will only commence after you have paid the fee.

Indian Visa Extension:

If your visa is due to expire, you can apply for a visa extension. Foreign visitors can extend their visa validity by applying for an Indian visa extension online. There’s no need to visit the FRRO/FRO office or book an appointment with the immigration office.

Visa processing charges

The e-visa processing fee is the amount the applicant will be required to pay before submitting the visa application form and supporting documents. The visa processing cost involves the verification of your documents by the officials and carrying out the decision-making process regarding whether your visa application should be accepted or rejected.

Visa processing fees also vary according to the visa category and validity duration. There are several different types of E-Visas. According to the updated fee structure in Sep 2019, the following will be the visa processing charges applicants will have to pay to obtain an eVisa.

Payments are made online and it isn’t possible to make cash payments. Applicants can use their credit or debit card or PayPal account to pay the visa fees.
